An extract from my journal a week ago – straight from my heart to yours…
I just need to return to the page and journal… to connect with myself, to ground. It’s been ages since I’ve done that I feel, since I’ve had a proper 1:1 with myself. As always, I miss it.
Since coming back from Egypt, I’ve been caught in the whirlwind of finishing my book – reviewing the final typeset, making changes, reviewing it again, and again. Finalising the book cover, tweaking it, trying to find another version, chasing after “the one” that would express everything that I want to express in a single image – and eventually settling on the first one, which my heart did leap for when I first saw it, but my mind was too scared to accept it at face value. So I had to go through two other versions before settling on it. Because sometimes, you need to go away and try different things to confirm that you are indeed happy with what you have.
